English Proficiency for Undergraduate Admission - Omaha Campus

Students whose native language is not English are required to demonstrate English proficiency by any of the following:

Paper-based TOEFL score of 487 or higher
Internet-based TOEFL score of 57 or higher
IELTS composite score of 5.0 or higher
PET composite score of 43 or higher 
ACT English score of 18 or higher 
SAT Reading score of 430 or higher 

Some University departments and colleges require higher English proficiency scores for admission into their programs. See the individual program description, or visit the UNO Admissions website for more information.

In many cases score must be validated by either UNO's intensitve English program or the UNO English placement exam. The following scores do not require validation: Paper-based TOEFL 500+; Internet-based TOEFL 61+; IELTS 5.5+; PTE 44+.
